KUANTAN, April 10 (Bernama) -- Pahang will boost its promotional efforts in conjunction with the Visit Pahang Year 2017 (TMP2017) by touring the southern zone from April 26 to 29.
Tourism Pahang general manager Datuk Ishak Mokhtar said the tour would involve the southern states namely Johor, Melaka and Negeri Sembilan as well as neighbouring country Singapore.
"The tour will be joined by 21 vehicles and 100 personnel from the state's tourism industry such as tourism and hotel operators as well as those from tourism-related agencies.
"The delegation will make a stop in Johor first before they proceed to Singapore and it will be followed by Melaka and Negeri Sembilan involving 20 stops altogether," he said this when contacted by Bernama here today.
Ishak added that 10,000 brochures on Pahang tourism will be distributed during the tour to create awareness of TMP2017 campaign while Pahang Night would be hosted to forge closer ties between the delegation and tourism industry players in the three states.
"While in Singapore, the delegation members will meet up with the 60 travel agents on April 27," said Ishak adding that the promotional tour would continue to the nothern states after Hari Raya celebration.
